Skydance Paramount Will Remove Around 2,000 American Positions – Update

Skydance Paramount will start significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose all specifics via its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates had indicated that Paramount planned to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

By December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
