Shocking Recording Captures Moment Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Ambush

Both Senior Officers Instants Before the Attacker Received Electric Shock

One police sergeant that leaped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knife attacker was granted the Monarch's Honor for Courage.

Sergeant Tim Ansell grappled with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown after he held a blade to the neck of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the policemen and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist subsequent to a traffic accident in Whalley Range in summer 2023.

Brown attacked with blade the two Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster prior to PC Wolstencroft stunned him with a Taser.

"Policeman knifed," PC Wolstencroft stated over his communication device.

Officer-mounted and dashboard camera video made public by the force revealed Brown, wearing in dark clothing with a hood covering head, approach to Sergeant Foster from behind with a blade pointed forward.

He struck the officer who stumbled and fell to the street, after which Sergeant Ansell intervened and tried to wrestle him to the ground although being repeatedly struck with the blade.

PC Wolstencroft Stopped the Aggressor, Jacob Brown, with a Electric Weapon

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and awaited a clear shot, ending the struggle to an end.

Sergeant Ansell stated audibly: "I need help on my throat now, I'm bleeding in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell sustained multiple deep cuts to his throat and more cuts to his limbs and torso, while Sgt Foster received knife wounds.

Officials reported Sergeant Foster employed his hands to stem his colleague's hemorrhaging prior to emergency responders came.

The new honor follows after the law enforcement team were granted organizational Courage Honors in October 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the area Police Federation in early 2024.

They were also awarded a Regional Valor Recognition in summer 2024.

"The responses of each policeman in the end rescued one another and meant no bystanders endured any wounds."

Brown received a sentence to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, as stated by officials.
